Kole Calhoun Rehab Assignment Coming Soon
3 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Kole Calhoun (hamstring) is progressing well in his recovery from hamstring surgery and will begin a rehab assignment soon. The 33-year-old has begun to run out of the batters' box during the at-bats he is taking at the team's training site. "The start of a rehab assignment is "coming soon," said manager Torey Lovullo. Calhoun underwent surgery on his hamstring to remove "a damaged left semitendinosus tendon" in late April and has been sidelined since. He slashed .292/.333/.479 with two homers, five RBI, and six runs scored over 13 games before landing on the injured list. Fantasy managers in deep-league and NL-only formats should continue to stash Calhoun on the IL for now.
