4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Kris Bubic was the tough luck losing pitcher in Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. In his second MLB start, Bubic went six innings and allowed four hits, two walks and two earned runs while striking out six. Despite coming away with the loss, it was an extremely promising performance for the rookie. The Royals welcomed the return of starting pitcher Jakob Junis this past week and Brad Keller is making his season debut on Thursday. Still, Bubic should be able to cling to the fifth rotation spot behind Danny Duffy, Junis, Keller and Brady Singer. Bubic is worth monitoring in all leagues.
