Kristaps Porzingis Done For Year With Torn ACL
7 years agoNew York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis (knee) will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL in his left knee. The first-time All-Star came down awkwardly after a dunk in Tuesday's contest against the Bucks and instantly grabbed his knee as he fell down on the hardwood. This is obviously a devastating blow to Porzingis owners and the Knicks, and he's officially questionable to return until 2019. Meanwhile, Michael Beasley becomes a must-own, must-start player until further notice, while Kyle O'Quinn is also worth a look in deeper leagues. Willy Hernangomez is an intriguing prospect and could instantly become standard league relevant, but he didn't receive many minutes when KP missed a stretch of games earlier in December. It'll be interesting to see how the Knicks approach Thursday's trading deadline with this news, and owners will want to have a couple of moves saved up, especially if your league has a limit on weekly acquisitions.
