3 years agoWashington Wizards center Kristaps Porzingis (knee) and shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (rest) have been deemed unavailable for Friday's contest vs. the Knicks. Porzingis' absence comes on the heels of a dominant 26-point, 18-rebound outing Wednesday, paving the way for Daniel Gafford and Thomas Bryant to take on increased roles in the frontcourt. Caldwell-Pope's absence on the wing figures to open up offensive opportunities for Deni Avdija and Corey Kispert. The final chance that Porzingis and Caldwell-Pope have to take the floor in 2021-22 comes Sunday against Charlotte.--Jesse Borek
