5 years agoPower forward Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks have agreed upon a five-year, $158 million max deal, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. Dallas acquired Porzingis in a blockbuster swap with the New York Knicks in January, even though the 23-year-old Latvian would not suit up for the remainder of the season as he recovered from a torn ACL. Porzingis was named an All-Star as a member of the Knicks in 2017-18, averaging 22.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, and will now form a 1-2 duo alongside reigning NBA Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic for the Mavericks.--Jesse Borek
