6 years agoAtlanta Falcons quarterback Kurt Benkert once again struggled to make an impression in the third preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Coming off a tough outing against the Kansas City Chiefs, Benkert really need to have a good outing against the Jaguars. However, Benkert managed to go 6-of-14 with 89 yards passing. The fact that Benkert saw action in this game and Garrett Grayson did not, is a positive that he remains third on the pecking order for the Falcons. However, Benkert is still competing for the chance to make the roster, as opposed to being on the practice squad. Even if he makes the roster Benkert is unlikely to have any fantasy value this season, unless both Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub were to go down during the season.--Ben Rolfe
