6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small/power forward Kyle Kuzma certainly seems to be past any back ailments he may have had, scorching the Detroit Pistons for a career-best 41 points in just three quarters of action Wednesday. The offensive focal point of the evening, the Michigan native went 16-for-24 from the floor, including 5-for-10 from deep. Without LeBron James on the court, Kuzma has been expected to see the lion’s share of scoring opportunities, and he took advantage of them Wednesday. The question is whether a stout Utah Jazz defense can slow him come Friday.--Jesse Borek
