Kyle Kuzma Plays Well Against Mavs
7 years agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma was productive despite his team losing to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. Kuzma had a double-double off of the bench, finishing the night with 12 points and 15 rebounds. With the departure of forward Larry Nance Jr., minutes have opened up in the team's previously log-jammed front court. Though he likely won't start, at least for the rest of this season, he should see minutes comparable to starters throughout the league. Performances like this from the rookie are nothing surprising, and it won't be long until he is back in the Rookie of the Year conversation. He will have a nice matchup against the Pelicans on Wednesday, a team that is giving up a league-worst 20.7 points, 11 boards and a 49 percent field goal percentage to opposing power forwards this season.
