Kyle Kuzma Thrives Without LeBron James
6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small forward/power forward Kyle Kuzma was tremendous in Thursday's loss to the Clippers as he compiled 33 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. The 23-year-old was 12-for-24 from the field, 2-for-8 from beyond the arc and 7-for-9 from the charity stripe. Besides his erratic perimeter shooting, his only real issue was turnovers as he tied his season-high with six. It was his second highest point total this season, and the third time he has topped the 30-point mark. The second-year pro has picked up his play in December as he is averaging 22.4 points while shooting 50 percent from the floor this month. Expect Kuzma to put up similar numbers while LeBron James (groin) is out. He has a pretty appealing matchup against the Clippers, who are allowing opposing power forwards to compile 23.2 points along with 9.5 rebounds and 3.7 assists over the last 10 games.
