Kyle Rudolph Quiet In Defeat
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph had a tough ending to his season as he caught just two of three targets for four yards in the 27-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Rudolph's low volume was a product of the Vikings' inability to get anything going all day as the 49ers Defense held Kirk Cousins to just 172 passing yards. Rudolph had a few weeks of production driven by touchdowns during Adam Thielen's absences, but he took a big step back in catches (39) and receiving yardage (367) this season. He doesn't get enough volume to be an exciting fantasy option and his prospects don't look great next year with Irv Smith Jr. looking to take another step and the team still being dedicated to the run.
