7 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has only six hits over his last 38 at-bats (.157) heading into Tuesday's action against the Rangers. Seager did pop his ninth home run of the season on Sunday but is slashing a depressing .226/.286/.423 and is sporting a career low BABIP of .241 at this point in the season. His .423 slugging percentage would be his lowest total since 2012, and Seager continues his trend of being a notorious slow starter. The power numbers are respectable (nine home runs, 32 runs batted in), but the team is expecting more from their veteran third baseman with No. 3 hitter Robinson Cano suspended and slugger Nelson Cruz hobbled all season with nagging injuries. Seager's track record indicates the numbers should improve as the weather warms up, and now could be the time to buy low on him on the fantasy trade market.--Joey C - RotoBaller
