Kyle Tucker Homers, Walks Twice On Tuesday

2 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker had a solid day at the plate in the team's 5-3 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday. He went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks in the game. Tucker now has 19 home runs, 64 RBI and 42 runs on the year to go along with 16 stolen bases and a .251/.341/.471 slash line. He's maintaining a career-best 49.2% fly ball rate, but he's unfortunately paired that with career-lows in both hard-hit rate (38.3%) and average exit velocity (89.5 mph). If he can keep his fly ball rate intact while tapping into last year's hard contact metrics (47.5% hard-hit rate, 91.4 mph average exit velocity), he could be in for a strong finish to the 2022 season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
