3 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving is going to suit up this season without being vaccinated after all. After the Nets' organization was originally resistant to the idea of Irving playing in only road games due to New York's COVID-19 vaccination requirements, it appears they have shifted their thought process as Irving will ramp up to return to game action. Irving delivered stellar production in his second season with Brooklyn last year, averaging 26.9 points and 6.0 assists per contest, while shooting a career-high 50.4 percent overall; even in the case that he can replicate those numbers, his season-long fantasy stock will be more complicated. Eligible only to play when the Nets are on the road, he'll face stretches -- such as Dec. 28-Jan. 16 where Brooklyn plays just two road contests -- where he won't be available to suit up. There is no clear timetable yet on when Irving may return, but he stands to be a significant DFS commodity out of the gate when he does.--Jesse Borek
