2 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving had his entire offensive game working during Sunday's loss to the Celtics, as he finished with a game-best 39 points on 12-for-20 shooting, including knocking down six triples. While playing a whopping 42 minutes, Irving was able to pack his stat line with six assists, five rebounds, and four steals, a performance reminiscent of his 39-point outing in Game 4 of last year's first-round matchup between the two teams. With Kevin Durant shooting 9-for-24 overall, Irving stepped into lead offensive duties, with Goran Dragic being the only other member of Brooklyn to log double-digit shot attempts. Irving is likely to shoulder as much of the offensive load as he can handle during the series, which picks up again Wednesday.--Jesse Borek
