Kyrie Irving Drops Game-High 42 Points In Victory
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving had his entire offensive arsenal working during Tuesday's win over Houston, as he finished with 42 points on 13-for-24 shooting, including going 8-for-16 from behind the arc. The scoring output marked his highest for a regular-season game at Barclays Center since Jan. 31, 2020. In addition to the scoring, he added six assists, three rebounds, and two steals to tie the knot on his performance. Irving has scuffled on the second leg of back-to-backs thus far in '21-22, shooting a combined 29.7% on two occasions. He gets a chance to flip the script on that production Wednesday vs. the Knicks, whom he has averaged 33.3 PPG since joining the Nets.
