Kyrie Irving Leaves Early Due To Knee Injury, Will Undergo MRI
5 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving departed Saturday’s defeat to the Washington Wizards in the last few minutes due to what has been termed a right knee sprain, for which he will undergo an MRI on Sunday. Prior to his departure, he collected 11 points on 5-for-12 shooting, a marked 180-degree turn from his 54-point showing Friday. He added four rebounds and four assists to his stat line, but logged six turnovers. The injury has undoubtedly clouded his status for Monday against Phoenix, but the larger hope for fantasy owners is that Irving avoided serious damage that would lay him up for a considerable period of time.
