6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving scored 25 points, dished out six assists, pulled down five boards, came up with two steals and blocked one shot in Friday's loss to the Magic on Friday. He was seven of 16 from the floor, including zero of five from beyond the arc, although he did connect on 13 of 15 free throws. It is his second straight and 11th 20-point, five rebound, and five-assist performance this season. While the 26-year-old's numbers are down across the board in January, he has shot the ball well as he is currently knocking down 50 percent of his attempts this month. Irving had a solid game the last time the C's met the Nets, who they face on Monday, as the eighth-year pro compiled 17 points, six assists, two rebounds and came up with three steals.--Daniel Benjamin
