6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving posted a gaudy box score Wednesday versus the New York Knicks, but went 9-for-25 from the field overall, including 2-for-9 from three-point range. On the surface, his 22 points, 13 assists and six rebounds got the job done, as Irving has now attempted 25 shots in back-to-back games. Irving entered the night averaging 27.1 points per game in the month of November, so those who stuck by the point guard’s side after a calm October are reaping the benefits. He has a favorable matchup Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, who are allowing the fourth-most points to opposing point guards.--Jesse Borek
