6 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday’s game versus the Los Angeles Clippers due to a right knee sprain. Irving left the game in the second quarter and was evaluated in the locker room before the decision to hold him out was made. Boston could potentially just be erring on the side of caution with a 21-point halftime lead, in which case, Irving’s next chance to suit up would come Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers. He finished with 14 points across 14 minutes, shooting 4-for-7 from the field. Terry Rozier will likely pick up the slack while Irving is down.--Jesse Borek
