Kyrie Irving Unlikely To Play For Team USA
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving (ankle) will not play for Team USA at the 2021 Summer Olympics. Irving sprained his right ankle during Game 4 of the postseason matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, which forced him to miss the remainder of the series. Although it's unknown exactly how severe the ailment currently is, his status should be monitored closely heading into training camp, which will start at the end of September. The 29-year-old averaged 26.9 points during the 2020-21 campaign but has been plagued by constant injuries throughout the years. As a result, his fantasy outlook isn't as bright, especially if Kevin Durant and James Harden are on the floor more than they were to take away some chances on the offensive end.
