4 years agoFree-agent power forward LaMarcus Aldridge was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Aldridge was due $24 million this year but gave back $7.25 million in the contract buyout with San Antonio, as the team released him- he is now free to sign with another team. The Athletic's Shams Charania reports that the Miami Heat are the current favorites for the services of the 35-year-old. Aldridge is having the worst statistical season of his career though perhaps he would be rejuvenated a bit by a change of scenery.--Tim Capurso
