LaMarcus Aldridge Corralled After Career High Outing
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge got a rematch with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday, just two days after going for a career-high 56 points in a double-overtime win. This time around, Aldridge settled for a solid 17-point, nine-rebound outing. The main difference was in his ability to get to the free-throw line: Thursday, he made all 16 attempts he took from the stripe, but Saturday, he took just one free throw. Aldridge figures to see an increased role while Rudy Gay remains sidelined, next squaring off with the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, whom he is averaging 17.7 points per game against for his career, his second-lowest total versus any opponent in the league.
