LaMarcus Aldridge Posts Third 30-Point Double-Double
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge took advantage of the Clippers going with a small lineup on Sunday as he registered 30 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in the 103-95 loss. The 33-year-old was 13-for-21 from the field, 1-for-1 from the three-point line and 3-for-5 from the free throw line. It is the third time that the 6-foot-11 big man has scored at least 30 points while also recording a double-double and it marked his 14th double-double of the campaign overall. Aldridge has stepped up his offensive production this month, averaging 24.5 points along with 3.3 assists while shooting 56.4 percent from the field in January. The 13th-year pro racked up 20 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in the first matchup of the year against the 76ers, who the Spurs face on Wednesday.
