LaMarcus Aldridge Retires
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge announced on Thursday that he is retiring from the NBA immediately due to a heart condition. Aldridge had an irregular heartbeat during his final game with the Nets that worsened following the game, prompting Aldridge to consult with doctors and decide to end his NBA career. With Aldridge gone, second-year big Nicolas Claxton will play an even larger role than he already was for the Nets. In the previous two games with Aldridge sidelined, Claxton played 21 minutes per game. DeAndre Jordan will also spend a lot of time on the floor and is likely the big to target here in fantasy, as he's capable of putting up a double-double when he gets starter minutes.
