LaMarcus Aldridge Scores Season-High 38 Points
6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward LaMarcus Aldridge poured in a season-high 38 points on 14-for-23 shooting from the field and 10-for-12 from the free throw line in Saturday's win over the Clippers. The 33-year-old also grabbed seven rebounds, doled out two assists and blocked two shots. He tied his season high in field goal makes. The 13th-year pro has seen an increase in usage over the last four games. While he is averaging 15.4 shots a game since November 1, he has attempted 18 or more shots in each of the past four outings. Aldridge, who has scored at least 18 points in each of the previous four contests, is averaging 22.1 points in December and has topped the 20-point mark in 10 of 15 games this month. Aldridge has a relatively difficult matchup against Marcus Morris and the Celtics on Monday. Boston has limited opposing power forwards to 17 points on 39 percent shooting from the field, although they have allowed opposing players who play the four position to grab 11.6 rebounds a game during this stretch.
