6 years agoSan Antonio Spurs power forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge scored 25 points on 8-for-20 shooting from the field in Friday's victory over the Timberwolves. He added nine rebounds, four assists, and two blocks as well as four turnovers. The 33-year-old struggled from the field most of the night missing 10 of his first 15 attempts, but he did go 9-for-12 from the free throw line. It was an excellent bounce-back performance from Wednesday when the former No. 2 overall draft pick compiled just eight points and four boards. Aldridge is currently on one of his best stretches of the season, producing 26.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and two blocks while shooting 53.7 percent from the field over the last five games. The 13th-year pro has an outstanding matchup against the Clippers as he has racked up 25 points, nine rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks in three games against them this year.--Daniel Benjamin
