Lanto Griffin May Have Upside At Zozo Championship
3 years agoLanto Griffin was playing dreadfully in the first two tournaments of the Fall and then came to life two weeks ago at The Shriners Children's Open. After an opening-round T 72, Griffin started dropping birdies en route to a 64-66 weekend. That vaulted him into a tie for sixth and merited some serious consideration for this week's tournament at the Narashino Golf Course. The shorter course could play to some of his strengths if Griffin continues to approach greens well and make putts. Driving the ball is less of an issue on the shorter course and his 0.627 strokes gained putting overall bodes well too.
