6 years agoMinnesota Vikings running back Latavius Murray ran for just two yards on two carries in the Vikings loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night. Though starting running back Dalvin Cook was on a "pitch count" and the Vikings were playing from behind all game, Murray only saw two targets in the passing game and turned them into two catches for 16 yards. He did turn one of those catches into a two-point conversion on a nice screen play in the third quarter. Murray's usage the last two weeks has been comical - he has totaled three yards on four carries as the Vikings have all but abandoned their running game. A Week 5 match-up on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles doesn't inspire confidence, and the anticipated return of a healthy Dalvin Cook only serves to lessen Murray's appeal. He's a nice handcuff for Cook, but can't be trusted as a RB3/Flex option at this point in the year.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
