6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen went for 27 points on 11-for-20 shooting during Friday’s overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers. He came just a rebound shy of posting his second straight double-double versus Indiana, having gone for 21 and 10 back on Dec. 4. Markkanen has established himself as an offensive force over his first 16 games in 2018-19, averaging 17.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest, all while shooting 40.6 percent from deep. With Bobby Portis currently sidelined, it has allowed Markkanen to play the lion’s share of minutes at the four, logging a season-high 42 on Friday.--Jesse Borek
