6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen dropped 23 points on 9-for-18 shooting during Saturday’s win over the San Antonio Spurs. As has been the case since his return, Markkanen was aggressive from deep, going 3-for-8 from long range, now having averaged 7.9 threes attempted over his first seven contests with at least six in each game. Without Zach LaVine on Saturday, Markkanen took on a larger offensive role, but that shouldn’t affect his usage all that much moving forward. He appears to be picking up right where he left off last season, having averaged 15.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a rookie.--Jesse Borek
