7 years agoChicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen recorded a double-double in Monday's narrow loss to New Orleans. Markkanen played 40 minutes, scoring 14 points on 5-for-12 shooting from the field. Though he missed all four shots from deep, he made up for it by pulling down 17 rebounds and swatting two shots. The first-year man has been playing well this season and has earned a small spot in the Rookie of the Year conversation. He has struggled from downtown as of late, going only 2-for-15 from that area over the last three games, but he should bounce back just fine moving forward. With trade rumors surrounding forward Nikola Mirotic, his stock will only increase as the season progresses.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
