5 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen scored 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in his team's 117-111 loss to the Brooklyn Nets. Markkanen also tallied an assist, a block, and a steal, helping to salvage another poor shooting performance. He's shooting 37.6/27.8/82.5 after posting 43.0/36.1/87.2 last year. The 22-year-old is putting up nearly four fewer shots per game this year and seems out of sync. Teammate Zach LaVine suggested after the game that his struggles could be a consequence of learning a new offense. Whatever it is, hopefully, Markkanen can get going soon because his fantasy owners may be losing patience. He and the Bulls will take on the Milwaukee Bucks again on Monday, who allow opposing teams to shoot 37.3 percent from three, fourth-worst in the league.--Tim Capurso
