6 years agoChicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen had his streak of 11 consecutive games with 20 or more points snapped during Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Markkanen logged 19 points on 6-for-21 shooting, held to just 29 minutes after his otherworldly 54-minute effort Friday. It was still a strong effort from the Chicago big man who snagged nine rebounds, giving him 15 consecutive outings with at least nine boards. He next faces the Indiana Pacers, who boast a strong defensive reputation, but that hasn’t slowed Markkanen, who has averaged 24 points per game against his division rivals this season, combining for nine made threes in two games.--Jesse Borek
