LeBron James Dominates En Route To 31-Point Double-Double

4 years agoLos Angeles Lakers point guard/small forward LeBron James continued to make his claim for league MVP honors during Saturday’s win over the Houston Rockets, compiling 31 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, two made threes and two steals across his 35 minutes. With the performance, James has logged a double-double via just points and assists in 28 of the 40 games that he has played this year. He continues to be an otherworldly fantasy talent even at age 35, seeing a slight boost in usage and production with Anthony Davis (back) currently sidelined. James has essentially proven himself matchup resistant, which bodes well for Monday when he faces the Celtics, whom he recorded a pair of triple-doubles against last season.--Jesse Borek
