6 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Leonys Martin has been sent to the bench for Thursday's day game in Oakland. JaCoby Jones will slide over to Martin's usual center field spot, while Victor Reyes will get the start in right. This is nothing more than a typical maintenance day for Martin, though he has been sliding a bit while hitting .179/.258/.214 with zero home runs, zero RBI and one stolen base over his last seven games. On the season overall, Martin is hitting .255/.341/.445 with four home runs, 12 RBI, six steals and 17 runs scored over 110 at-bats.
