Logan Webb Takes Loss Saturday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb fell to 0-1 in Saturday's 0-4 loss to the Mariners. Webb pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits (including a solo home run) and three walks with five strikeouts. The 24-year-old put together a strong spring, but his first regular season start resembled his career numbers of a 5.35 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. Fantasy managers may have been excited by Webb's spring, but his performance Saturday is a reminder of the small samples of spring. Webb's next start will likely be a decent matchup against the Rockies at home.
