Logan Webb Turns In Decent Start Wednesday
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb took a no-decision in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Dodgers. Webb pitched 5 innings, allowing two runs on three hits (including a solo home run) and three walks with five strikeouts. The 24-year-old has looked good in his three starts since returning from the injured list in July, compiling a 2.25 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and 22% strikeout rate. The Giants have eased him in, but he has upped his IP each of those three starts. Rostered in just 24 percent of leagues, Webb is certainly worth a look in deeper leagues given his performance over the course of the season when healthy. His next matchup will be a rematch with the Dodgers at home. He is not a guaranteed start, but fantasy managers with a higher risk tolerance could throw him out there given his recent performance against the division rivals, particularly in points leagues.
