Logan Webb Working On Off-speed Pitches
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb was told that he needed to focus on throwing his off-speed pitches for strikes more frequently this spring, per Mercury News' Kerry Crowley. Webb did a good job of that in Monday's 2-2- tie against the Diamondbacks, pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Webb said all three of his strikeouts came on changeups, a pitcher that manager Gabe Kapler said could be "special". The 24-year-old has not pitched well in the big leagues to this point, compiling a career 5.36 ERA. However, if he pitches well this spring he could find himself in the Giants rotation once again. Webb will need to convince both the Giants and fantasy players that he should be on rosters once the regular season starts.
