3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs shooting guard/small forward Lonnie Walker IV (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's contest against the Rockets due to a sore right knee. The decision to hold Walker out comes after he logged 27 minutes off the bench Thursday, shooting 2-for-10 from the floor overall. Without Walker as a member of the second unit, Devin Vassell and Keita Bates-Diop stand to have elevated DFS appeal. Walker has averaged 11.2 PPG this season, the same number that he delivered last year, but with less efficiency, having shot just 29.5% from behind the arc in 2021-22. His next chance to take the floor comes Wednesday vs. Cleveland.--Jesse Borek
