Lou Trivino Hangs On For Save Versus Rangers
3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino allowed a run on three hits, but managed to escape trouble and earn his 13th save of the season. Trivino allowed a homer to the red-hot Joey Gallo, then proceeded to allow singles to the next two batters to bring the go-ahead run to the plate with only one out. The A's righty would strike out Jonah Heim before inducing a game-ending fly-out to preserve the win for the home team. The runs were the first Trivino has allowed since May 5 as he's been excellent in the closer role for Oakland. Left-hander Jake Diekman may pick up the occasional save if the opposition has left-handed hitters due up, but for the most part, Trivino is working the ninth and should be rostered in all fantasy leagues.
