5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams got inserted into the starting unit on Sunday and made the most of his extra minutes in the 114-104 loss to the Nuggets. Williams did a solid job knocking down his shots as he connected on 8-for-17 shooting en route to his 26 points while adding four rebounds, four assists and a steal in 35 minutes of run. Coach Rivers looked to mix things up in this one with Paul George (hamstring) still sidelined, but the experiment came up short in the 10-point loss. George is due back soon, so we can assume Williams will return to his usual bench role.--Gianni Costantiello
