Lou Williams Scores 35 Points Against The Celtics
5 years agoLos Angeles Clippers guard Lou Williams finished a double-overtime loss to Boston with 35 points on 14 of 33 shooting to go with eight assists, six rebounds, three three-pointers, two blocks and one steal. With Paul George exiting after just 14 minutes of action due to a hamstring injury and Kawhi Leonard struggling with his shot for most of the night, the Clippers needed Williams to drag them to a victory, and the reigning Sixth Man of the Year certainly did his best with a season high in points. This was PG's third hamstring injury of the season, which could result in an even more cautious approach from head coach Doc Rivers in the second half of the season. If George does miss time following the All-Star break, expect Williams to step up to the challenge and increase every facet of his production as he's done plenty of times before.
