Lucas Giolito To Start On Opening Day
3 years agoWith Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn (knee) on the shelf, right-hander Lucas Giolito will get the nod on Opening Day for the team on the road against the Detroit Tigers on Friday, April 8. He'll be followed in the rotation by Dillon Cease and Michael Kopech in the opening series of the season. Giolito wasn't as good last year as he was when he broke out in 2019, but he was still solid for fantasy managers with a 3.53 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, 201 strikeouts and 52 walks in 178 2/3 innings over 31 starts for the Pale Hose. Fantasy managers with upcoming drafts this week should consider Giolito a low-end fantasy ace or a high-end SP2.
