Luis Robert Could Return On Thursday
4 years agoChicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa said on Wednesday that outfielder Luis Robert (illness) could return from the COVID-19 injured list on Thursday. Robert's test came back negative, but he is still achy and regaining strength. Robert was placed on the COVID-19 injured list on Tuesday, but it appears it's not going to be a long stay. The talented outfielder has been off to a great start in his sophomore campaign and is hitting .305 with one home run, six RBI and four stolen bases. Managers shouldn't worry about the lack of power early on with Robert having an exit velocity of 90.4 at the moment. Outfielder Billy Hamilton will replace Robert on Wednesday, but only offers help to managers in need of speed. Hamilton will bat ninth versus Casey Mize.
