3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens appeared as a pinch-hitter in Thursday's game against the Oakland Athletics and delivered a two-run home run off relief pitcher Jake Diekman. It was Torrens' 15th long ball of the year in 313 at-bats. Torrens has been swinging the bat well lately, slashing .350/.372/.475 in his last 40 at-bats across 15 games. He could be a worthwhile addition in two-catcher formats, but even that might be a stretch, as he doesn't see much playing time against righties.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
