3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens hit a game-tying home run Friday in the bottom of the eighth inning, his only hit in three at-bats. He also walked twice. It was his eighth home run of the year in 132 at-bats. Six of those eight home runs have come since he returned to the majors on June 15, so the power stroke is working, but he's only managed an on-base percentage of .259, which limits his utility. He could be a worthwhile add for fantasy managers in two-catcher formats, as he's splitting his time behind the plate and at designated hitter.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
