3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens continued his power binge Friday, smacking his 12th homer of the season as the second half of back-to-back shots off Oakland Athletics starter Frankie Montas. Injuries have opened up plenty of at-bats for Torrens at first base and designated hitter in addition to behind the plate, and he's shown plenty of pop, with 10 of his homers coming in the last 30 games with a .566 slugging percentage in that time.
