4 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic's excellence this year has been so par for the course that his 29 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in Saturday's loss to the Suns seem commonplace. Shooting 12-for-22 overall, including 3-for-7 from behind the arc, Doncic remained the focal point of the offense without Kristaps Porzingis (rest) available. After a handful of rocky scoring performances earlier in the year, Doncic has now shot 50 percent from the field in his last six games, averaging 30.2 PPG in that stretch. Firmly entrenched in the MVP conversation despite the Mavs' struggles in the win column, Doncic gets to run it back against Phoenix on Monday.--Jesse Borek
