4 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (elbow) and small/power forward Dorian Finney-Smith (leg) have both picked up doubtful designations for Thursday's contest against Detroit. Dallas' injury report has been hefty as of late, even as Doncic has not missed action since March 27. The elbow ailment hasn't impaired Doncic too strenuously, as he has managed to average 28.2 points, 8.3 assists and 7.5 rebounds across 15 April games, shooting 47.8 percent from the field overall. Finney-Smith hasn't missed time since March 19, so while Jalen Brunson is likely to take on a larger role in the case that Doncic is unavailable, it's less obvious who will fill in for Finney-Smith. Tim Hardaway Jr. should see a sizable uptick in offense usage with both Doncic and Finney-Smith likely sidelined for this one.--Jesse Borek
