5 years agoDallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic played through a sore ankle in Tuesday's blowout loss to the Phoenix Suns. Doncic had a decent game, scoring 21 points with six rebounds, six made free throws, two assists, and a steal in 25 minutes. The 20-year-old's quiet stat line likely had more to do with Phoenix blowing the game open in a 48-point third quarter than with his sore ankle. Doncic will go head-to-head with fellow MVP candidate James Harden on Friday night. The star guard dropped 41 points and 10 assists against the Rockets back in November.--Tim Capurso
